Nose thread lifts are a non-surgical treatment to lift the nasal bridge and tip to create a more sculpted and refined appearance of the nose. They involve the insertion of absorbable threads made of polydioxanone (PDO) in order to create the desired shape and lift. Once in place, the threads stimulate collagen production, which helps to maintain the shape even after the threads have dissolved. It is a generally safe procedure that is suitable for those looking to improve the appearance of their nose, but not keen or suitable for surgery.
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia to improve the overall comfort, and generally takes around 30 minutes to complete. Patients may experience some swelling and bruising around the treatment area. Results are visible immediately, but will improve over the next few days as the initial swelling resolves. The results will last for about 12 months, and patients may repeat the procedure again to maintain the desired outcome.
