Body Sculpting
Much like the face, our body undergoes change as we age. These changes can be seen as deposition of fatty tissue, skin laxity, unevenness in texture, and defects in skin quality. Many of those who are affected by these changes choose to hide their imperfections by changing their style of clothing or habits. They dedicate time for facial treatments, but neglect their bodies due to a lack of information on possible treatment options. In this age of self-love and acceptance, loving our bodies mean giving it the care and attention it deserves – not simply using acceptance as an excuse for neglect. Self-care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what’s left of you. At DRFL, we have a wide range of non-invasive aesthetic treatments to bring out your best. Depending on your body type, lifestyle, and concerns, our doctors will be able to recommend the most suitable treatments to give the best outcome and a boost to your confidence.
Skin laxity
One of the most common concerns on the body is skin laxity. This occurs when there is a loss of elasticity and firmness in the skin, and commonly affects the abdomen and inner arms. This may be more pronounced after significant weight loss, or due to aging. Visible signs of skin laxity do not appear at a specific age as they are contributed by many factors including genetics, environment, habits and lifestyle. While many of these factors are difficult or cannot be changed, we are still able to improve skin elasticity with non-invasive treatments that utilise either focused ultrasound (Ultherapy), radio frequency (Venus Legacy), or injectables (Profhilo body).
Weight
Obesity can increase your risk of many health conditions and affect your confidence and self-esteem. Obesity is contributed by a combination of overeating, physical inactivity and genetics – with poor eating habits likely to be the leading cause. Despite our hardest attempts in dietary and lifestyle changes, it may still be difficult to reach our weight goals. Overcoming obesity sometimes requires more than willpower alone. Adding on treatments like Saxenda to your weight management plan of healthy eating and increased physical activity may help you lose and maintain your weight within the healthy range.
Stubborn fat
Many of us have areas with stubborn fat despite being in the healthy weight range. It is difficult to target specific areas naturally with exercise or eating healthily. Non-invasive body sculpting treatments like laser thermolysis with the Venus Bliss is able to target the fat cells in specific areas and permanently remove them. With this treatment, you will be able to achieve better body contours by removing stubborn fat cells that are resistant to conventional weight loss methods. The Venus Bliss can also be paired with radiofrequency treatments like the Venus Legacy to provide additional results of smoothening out cellulitis, tightening of skin and reduction of fine lines.
