Ultherapy is a non-invasive tightening treatment that uses focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten loose or saggy skin. It was initially commonly used for the face and neck, but has since developed a treatment plan designed for use on the body.
Ultherapy body uses the same ultrasound technology as the facial treatment, but targets larger treatment areas like the abdomen. The ultrasound energy is focused deep beneath the skin’s surface, where it heats up the underlying tissue, stimulating the production of new collagen and leading to gradual tightening and lifting over time.
Ultherapy body is suitable for those who have concerns over loose and saggy skin on various parts of their body. It is a quick and non-invasive treatment with minimal downtime, and is a good option for those who are not keen or suitable for surgical treatments.
The treatments take around 90 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Our clinic offers different options of pain relief – from topical numbing to even sedation based on patient’s preference, in order to maximise comfort during the procedure.
There may be some temporary redness, swelling and tenderness in the treatment areas, but will usually resolve in 1 to 2 weeks. Patients can resume regular activities after the treatment. Maximal results will be observed in 2 to 3 months after the treatment, and can last up to a year or more.
