Our clinic uses hyaluronic acid based fillers for lip augmentation. It helps to keep the skin hydrated and plump, in addition to providing the appropriate volume and shape.
The lip area will be numbed with topical anaesthetic to maximise comfort, and the procedure itself will take another 30 minutes to complete. Upon completion, expect immediate results that last for 9 to 12 months, after which the filler will gradually be metabolised by the body and the lips will return to their original size. The procedure may be repeated to maintain the desired appearance.
After the procedure, patients may experience some temporary swelling, bruising and pain around the injection sites that resolve after a few days.
